When you’re putting long hours on your John Deere during planting or harvest, the last thing you need is engine trouble. This oil filter keeps your engine oil clean and flowing freely, protecting expensive bearings, pistons, and other critical parts from the dirt and metal particles that want to turn your tractor into a very expensive paperweight.
What You’re Getting
- High-efficiency filtration media that captures microscopic particles without restricting oil flow
- Heavy-duty construction that handles the pressure spikes and heat of modern diesel engines
- Anti-drainback valve keeps oil in the filter when you shut down, preventing dry starts
- Bypass valve ensures oil keeps flowing even if the filter gets completely clogged
- Direct replacement for multiple John Deere series – no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This filter fits a wide range of John Deere tractors from the 40 series workhorses through the high-horsepower 7020 series machines. Whether you’re running a 4240 on loader duty, pulling heavy equipment with a 7810, or working long days in dusty conditions with any of these tractors, this filter keeps your expensive engine protected when it matters most.
Made to Last
Farm equipment takes a beating, and oil filters are no exception. This one’s built with quality filtration media and a robust housing that handles the temperature extremes and pressure fluctuations these engines create. It maintains consistent filtration throughout the entire service interval, even under the demanding conditions these larger tractors face.
Installation Notes
Installation is straightforward – drain the old oil, remove the old filter with an oil filter wrench, clean the mounting surface, apply a thin film of oil to the new filter’s gasket, and install hand-tight plus 3/4 turn. Don’t over-tighten or you’ll damage the gasket. Always change your oil and filter together, and check your oil level after the first few hours since the new filter will hold some oil.
