When you’re running precision equipment like a 6170R through planting season or pushing your 6190M through harvest, the last thing you need is engine trouble. This oil filter keeps the clean oil flowing through all those tight tolerances and high-pressure systems that make modern John Deere tractors so efficient. Your engine’s counting on it to trap all the dirt, metal particles, and combustion byproducts that would otherwise turn expensive components into scrap metal.

What You’re Getting

  • OEM specification filtration that meets John Deere’s exacting standards
  • Direct fit design – no adapters or modifications needed
  • High-efficiency media that captures microscopic contaminants
  • Anti-drainback valve keeps oil in the filter when you shut down
  • Built to handle the heat and pressure of hard-working diesel engines

Built for Real Farm Work

This filter fits the 6M series utility tractors like your 6150M and 6170M, plus the 6R series row-crop machines from the 6140R clear up to the 6250R. It also works on 7R series tractors including the 7200R through 7270R models. Whether you’re pulling a 24-row planter, running a big disc, or powering a forage harvester, these are the tractors doing the heavy lifting on farms across the country.

Made to Last

Modern diesel engines run hotter and work harder than ever before, especially with all the emissions equipment and turbocharging. This filter’s built with heavy-duty construction that won’t fail when the going gets tough. The filter media stays effective even as it loads up with contaminants, and the canister won’t split or leak under pressure.

Installation Notes

This is a direct replacement that spins right on where the old filter came off. Pre-fill the new filter about one-third full with clean oil before installing – it prevents that few seconds of dry running on startup that causes more wear than hours of normal operation. Hand-tighten the filter until the gasket contacts the mounting surface, then turn another three-quarters turn. Over-tightening just distorts the gasket and causes leaks.
